Having started his career at Scottish Gas, Iain has worked in the changing global energy sector for well over 40 years. This includes just over 25 years in recruitment and executive search within the sector.

Retiring in July 2020, Iain spent the previous 15 years as Managing Partner, EMEA Energy, at Korn Ferry, including a period of two years leading all of Korn Ferry’s UK business.

During this time he guided the UK business through the aftermath of the 2008 global financial crash and into the very successful acquisition of the leading UK executive search business Whitehead Mann, creating the company’s largest and most successful office.

Iain is well respected in the industry for his ability to not only create and engineer major external business growth but also develop teams internally thus building a sustainable and resilient business.

As Senior Advisor, Iain brings a wealth of knowledge to Granger Reis to enable it to achieve its own growth ambitions through moving into new markets, acquiring new talent and developing the capabilities of its current talent.
