John spent some 35 years in Executive search. During this career he specialised in the real estate and construction sectors and was responsible for starting and growing practices in these specialisations for three major global search firms.

His last position before retiring at the end of 2019 was an equity Partner at Spencer Stuart and global co-head of the real estate practice. His focus was on Board level and C suite appointments with a variety of clients across Public Companies, private equity, asset managers, developers, family offices, HNWs and advisors.

As a Board advisor, John brings his deep expertise and knowledge of the executive search industry to Granger Reis. He is also Chair of Bohill Partners.
